Your Questions, Answered

  • I offer individual, adult counseling sessions. When appropriate, I offer services to couples and families as well.

  • I am highly trained and experienced in complex cases. This has made me a well-rounded clinician with the ability to adapt and provide individualized care to all types of people. I practice the art of therapy by blending evidenced-based practices and a humanistic approach to help clients gain insight into patterns that are no longer serving them well. My approach is patient, compassionate, and direct.

  • Clients have more or less described me as “a good listener who doesn’t let things slide.” I try to understand your story as much as possible, then bring awareness to the “why” behind your difficulties. For the most part this can be an enjoyable process, but it is also difficult work. I am constantly trying to move at my client’s pace without moving too quickly or too slowly. I also infuse humor into the process as much as I can, so we will certainly laugh together amidst the difficult work!

  • I understand money is a huge barrier for therapy. If you have health insurance with behavioral health benefits, you may be able to submit a superbill to reimburse some costs. This process will be different depending on your insurance company. Otherwise, I can work with you on what you can afford, for example, we may meet every other week instead of weekly.

You may also think of therapy as an investment: put money into your mental health now so you can be contented and healthier in the future.

  • I’m happy to schedule a call, so I can hear more about what you want to get out of therapy. If we seem like a good fit, we will schedule from there.

If you feel strongly about us working together, you can bypass the call and schedule a session via my SimplePractice profile.

  • Right now, I do not have an office, so I provide only telehealth services. I plan to have a Nashville office space starting September 2026.
